I've lost to Team Galactic grunts.

Full team of six, against, what, three Pokémon. Stunky, or Golbat, and they're like AIR CUTTER.

My guy's just FAI'T!

Well, I really started noticing this after the transformer explosion earlier today. We had no electricity, so I decided to go about and lose to every grunt at Lake Valor I could find in order to see how much money I paid then. I mainly brought, I don't know, Roselia, Staraptor, Cranidos, Pichu, Luxray, some random Pokémon and fought like four times over, randomly interchanging my party members and using the moves that don't hurt their Pokémon.

The first fight, the woman with the Croagunk and the Glameow, they hardly have any offensive attacks, so I usually had to just beat her and let her be her condescending cool self and...the same guy, the grunt with the Golbat, the one who was all "We set off the GALACTIC BOMMBB! Its force was phenomenal!" was the main lose-to-this guy for me, because he was all OFFENSIVE in just about every battle, Air Cutting or Wing Attacking or Biting in just the right order and he didn't waste an overly powerful move to knock my Pokémon out. He kept getting critical hits, and my moves kept missing, and even when I didn't want that Pokémon of mine to faint it often did.

A few times I made it to Saturn and, like before, yeah, one-hit knock outs.
Go, Luxray, who is at full hit points!

It went like that forever. All four times I fought him. I noted that I paid Saturn exactly 3,040 dollars the first time I lost. This is important, because when I lost to kick-your-mons-to-the-floor offensive "We set off the Galactic bomb!" grunt I paid him 3,400 dollars. What? What?
...What?

All the other times I lost I paid that amount (3,400) to Saturn, but, first time...yeah, I don't quite know how to explain it. Glitch, maybe? I know that's exactly what it was, I didn't misinterpret the numbers or anything. Bah, I knew Saturn was going to give me trouble. I'd almost say he's more difficult then Jupiter was, except this time I don't think I'm going to win via the ridiculous absurdity of a level five Zubat (I believe I talked about that event in my Livejournal).

Then again I don't have a set team at all. My Luxray is basically my only 'cement' party member, because I'm pretty sure that unless this stream of bad luck continues during my eventual fights with Cyrus, with it in my party I don't think even I could lose...
Come to think of it, if I do win against Cyrus, I can picture offensive-strategic-Golbat-"We set off the Galactic Bomb!" grunt being like, "lol, you lost to a kid I beat."
My Pokémon are all over the places in terms of level. I keep my Cranidos in my party for sentimental reasons. I actually really dislike my Staraptor because it kills everything, which seems to be an odd reason for disliking something given how winning is good.

I lost to the grunts on Iron Island. Riley's Lucario did jack squat.
